5 Days Samburu, Ol Pejeta & Lake Nakuru Safari

Itinerary

1. Day

   Day 1

   Nairobi – Samburu Pick up from your Nairobi hotel or airport at approximately 7:00 AM and depart for Samburu National Reserve. Located along the Ewaso Ng’iro River, Samburu is renowned for its wildlife, including reticulated giraffes, elephants and big cats. Arrive at Ashnil Lodge for lunch and relaxation before heading out for an evening game drive until approximately 6:30 PM. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

2. Day

   Day 2

   Samburu After breakfast, depart for a full-day game drive with a packed picnic lunch. Explore Samburu in search of its distinctive northern wildlife, including gerenuk, Grevy’s zebra, oryx and reticulated giraffe. Lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, buffalo and hippos can also be encountered. Return to camp for dinner and overnight.

3. Day

   Day 3

   Samburu – Ol Pejeta After breakfast and checkout, depart for Ol Pejeta Conservancy. Arrive at Sweetwaters Serena Camp in time for lunch before heading out for an afternoon game drive. Visit the conservancy’s northern white rhinos and its chimpanzee sanctuary, established to rehabilitate rescued chimpanzees. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

4. Day

   Day 4

   Ol Pejeta – Lake Nakuru After breakfast and checkout, enjoy an early morning game drive as you leave Ol Pejeta and continue to Lake Nakuru National Park. Arrive at your lodge in time for lunch, check in and relax before an afternoon game drive. Look out for lions, cheetahs and leopards as well as southern white rhinos and Lake Nakuru’s diverse birdlife.

5. Day

   Day 5

   Lake Nakuru – Nairobi Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before checking out and beginning your journey back to Nairobi. Stop for lunch along the way before arriving in the city for drop-off at your hotel or the airport.
